As a designer you constantly tell yourself, "What have you done for me lately?" Then you look at all the great portfolio sites out there and you are humbled.
Website Development
I have strong skills in site planning. I know the pulse of the site visitor. Not that I know what they definitely will do every time, but my intuition for what visitors care about has been correct time and again. It also helps that listen to what the statistical tools tell me. Both are important. I can tell you where your site should probably go, and at what point it goes overboard.
It's also important to remember and implement the Disney-style "surprise" where it matters, and still keep perspective on what 90% of what people will actually be doing on your site.
